Psychiatry

The Psychiatric Department provides guidance to physicians in evaluation, differential diagnostics, case management and care of adult patients suffering from body-mind phenomena and offers consultations in the planning of rehabilitation programs for these patients upon their release.
 
Under emergency conditions, the hospital unit plays a central role in urgent treatment of patients suffering from acute stress disorders. During the second Lebanon War,  this immediate treatment proved to be very important as the hospital treated over 1000 cases of acute anxiety.

Currently the department does not provide ambulatory services or provide options for admittance through the emergency room.

The hospital maintains a separate psychiatric department serving children and adolescents.
