Women’s Health Department

The Women’s Health Department has a direct and ongoing connection to the Obstetrics/Gynecology Emergency Room, the outpatient clinics, the ambulatory surgical rooms and the general surgical department. The department treats the wide spectrum of medical issues affecting women of all ages including pregnancy up to its 24th week. The department’s focus is primarily surgical with women arriving for scheduled elective surgery in the domains of general gynecology, gynecologic oncology, pelvic floor pain, endometriosis and urogynecology.

The senior gynecological team offers immediate advisory services to all the hospital’s departments with daily close monitoring of patients in need of integrative care. In addition to medical expertise, the department staff offer the support and empathy that are crucial to patients while practicing discretion and respect for their privacy.
 
Department services include hospitalization in the women’s health unit for observation and evaluation whether scheduled or due to an emergency room visit. Conditions treated include pelvic infections, stomach pain, cysts and monitoring of pregnancy complications and at risk pregnancies up until week 24.  In addition, services include elective and spontaneous abortions and post treatment monitoring of patients who have undergone extra-uterine pregnancies.

The Women's Health Department also has six clinics that provide service to patients before and after surgery, staffed by specialists, in the fields of general gynecology, cervical pathology, hysteroscopy, pelvic pain and endometriosis, gynecologic oncology, and pelvic floor corrections.
General gynecology: the clinic deals with referrals for surgeries from the community and post-surgical car.

Cervical Pathology: the clinic deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the anus and cervix and performing colposcopy including biopsies as needed and follow-ups.

Hysteroscopy: the clinic deals with the treatment and planning of hysteroscopy surgeries from referrals from the community.
Pelvic pain and Endometriosis: the clinic deals with the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic pain problems, menstrual pain, sexual intercourse pain and more and pelvic endometriosis.

Gynecologic oncology: the clinic deals with diagnosis and treatment planning as well as follow-up in cases of women's health cancers and trophoblastic diseases.
The pelvic floor: the clinic deals with clarification, diagnosis and surgical planning as well as follow-ups in all cases of prolapse of the pelvic organs and urinary incontinence in women.
